Book Recommendation: Between Two Worlds

However, the way Jaouad shares her interior life draws the reader – this reader! – nose-to-nose with the text. Example: “It is possible for me to alter the course of my becoming.”

* Using vivid language to describe all aspects of her experience. Whether describing an emotion or a landscape, Jaouad’s descriptions are captivating. Example: “The night sky is powdered with more stars than I’ve ever seen in my life.”
